Job Description

As the Cloud Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for working with the various teams with-in the Multi-Cloud Infrastructure team, learning/understanding new cloud technologies, and services, defining test cases, setting up test environments, write test automation and maintaining the procedures and code for the testing functions of the project. Successful candidates would participate in our testing process and all the related technologies, environment, and scenarios (including functional, performance, feature interaction, and regression testing) required to ensure a successful Cloud service development life cycle and delivery. You will be well versed in working in and contributing to a fully agile and automated deployment and testing process. You will also be working with architects, security, and operations teams to troubleshoot, investigate the issues and highlight the bugs and code defects.

We are looking for a multi-talented specialist with working experience in financial fraud detection and prevention domain. The candidate must have experience working with a leading AML solution such as ML Verify, NICE Actimize, AML Manager etc. Our customer, a leading Swiss Bank is looking for a consultant who is well verse with various use cases and challenges in the financial fraud domain and should be able to help in building world-class cloud-based secure solutions.

You will work alongside the cloud engineering team to serve all needs within the chosen cloud provider, heavily leverage cloud native services for migration and modernization and enable open source and 3rd party solutions on the cloud infrastructure. Strong leadership and consulting skills are a must. Successful candidates must be willing to multitask and understand that customer engagements will vary greatly over time and must maintain and evolve skillsets to meet those needs.


As a Cloud Quality Engineer, you aim to work on analyzing business requirements, understanding application architecture, working closely with Cloud engineers to understand the cloud migration plan, and designing test strategies accordingly. Every project we embark upon will have concrete deliverables and a deadline which means we can guarantee you a variety of engagements across clients & industries. You’ll be responsible for:

• Programmatically test analytics application, measure test coverage, and drive testability and diagnostic ability while promoting best practices in quality areas
• Expand testing coverage by enhancing automated test suite capabilities and adding new tests
• Automate validation of data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and loading processes
• Develop manual/automation test strategies, create test plans, execute test cases – both manually and via automation to test data-oriented use cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and execute quality testing activities
• Create and evaluate test tools to improve test process, test coverage and quality
• Work closely with Scrum team members to clarify requirements, assess risk on requirement changes, ensure testability and automatability. Provide feedback on design (functional and technical) and be a vocal champion for quality in every phase of the development process
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to analyze, debug, and resolve issues
• Develop repeatable testing routines through automation to expedite QA cycle
• Become an SME in the technical domain

Being a data quality engineer means you will work with businesses and executives in Switzerland helping them to get a grip on the impact of (big) data, analytics, machine learning & artificial intelligence. As time passes, we’ll encourage you to build a functional expertise within a business or technical domain within your interest such as Spark, Docker containers, Kubernetes, or others

Profile Requirement:

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or a technically oriented field
• 7-9+ years of data analytics testing, automation experience
• Must have working experience with an AML product preferably NICE Actimize
• Strong knowledge in Data/ETL and Reports testing
• Experience with test automation frameworks and utilization of appropriate test methodologies and tools for testing KPIs, reports, dashboards, and data warehouses
• Solid understanding of End-to-End data warehousing systems from Data modeling to Reporting
• Solid experience in writing SQL queries, data modeling and analytical skills on large customer data sets
• Good knowledge in ETL/ELT and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, Redshift and Big Query
• Good programming experience with Ruby, Python, Shell scripting or equivalent, preferably in a Linux environment
• Hands-on experience working with APIs & API automation
• Must have experience of scheduling tool Control-M
• Passionate about analytics machine learning technology & applications and eager to learn
• Must be an agile practitioner, having minimum 2 years of experience of working in agile development team
• Knowledge of any agile framework like Scrum, Kanban is a must
• Enthusiastic to be part of a growing team & industry
• Fluent in English. German language skills can count as a strength
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to drive & collaborate with cross teams
• Experience of working with offshore teams


• Experience with or Knowledge of Test frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, Mocha, Protractor, etc.
• Familiarity with dev-ops tools such as Jenkins
• Experience with Teradata (or other RDMS) and NoSQL technologies
• Understanding and working knowledge of Docker container related technologies like Kubernetes, Mesos, etc. is a plus
• Previous coding experience and building a service in a plus
• Experience with supporting mission critical, 24x7 systems
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Azure Synapse Analytics or AWS Redshift
• Experience with ETL/ELT Testing using Spark or similar tools
